A man from Ryde has been arrested after he allegedly attacked 2 people with a knife in Ryde town centre last night (Friday).
Officers from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary were called to an address on Union Street at around 20:00 after receiving reports of an altercation at a residential address.
It is believed the incident occurred at an Indian restaurant on the street, with the owners having to forcibly remove those involved from the premises.
Allegedly, it was reported that a man had attacked 2 other men with a knife.
At the scene, Police arrested a 49-year-old on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance also attended the scene providing medical assistance to those present.
The male remains in custody at this time.

Third world nations isn’t a slur, it’s a real term that arose in the cold war referring to nations not in NATO, the Warsaw Pact or just referring to developing nations, it’s not mutually exclusive.
We have a higher foreign prison population than the US, which considering population and demographics is frightening.
Our highest foreign prison pop after EEA Europeans are Africans, non EEA Europe and Asians.
However Germany and France are much worse off.
