UPDATED: 3-CAR SHUNT AT WHIPPINGHAM


Police have been called to a 3-car shunt on the main road in and out of East Cowes this morning (Tuesday).

Traffic is heavy in the area as a result of the crash at Whippingham, between the junctions of Alverstone Road and Folly Lane.

The incident occurred at just gone 11:00.

UPDATE @ 12:35 – The scene has now been cleared and traffic is flowing once again.

A Ford, BMW and Mitsubishi were all involved in the crash, Police have confirmed.

Although paramedics were called to the scene, no one has been injured.
