23-year-old Megan Durham has been charged and remanded to appear before the Crown Court following a serious assault in Shanklin earlier this week.
As first reported by Island Echo, Police were called to an address on Atherley Road at around 22:40 on Monday (22nd November). Officers arrived to find a woman in her 40s who had sustained injuries to her head and leg.
Megan Durham, of Osborne Road in Shanklin, has since been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and possession of an offensive weapon – namely a chisel.
She appeared before Magistrates yesterday and was remanded in custody to appear before the Crown Court on 4th January 2022.
2 other women, aged 32 and 45 years, were arrested as part of this investigation but have since been released with no further action.
