Hampshire Constabulary and Sovereign Housing Association have made £20,000 available to community groups in Ryde to bid for projects relating to youth engagement, community mental health and tackling anti-social behaviour.
Community groups and initiatives will present their ideas at the open meeting at Ryde Academy between 13:00 – 16:00 on Saturday (2nd July).
Residents attending the event will vote directly on which projects to fund, with the event open to all residents of Ryde who – by voting – have the chance of making a difference in their own community.
Acting Sergeant Jason Taylor, of Ryde Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:
“This is a great opportunity for the Ryde Community to have a voice. This is an event where your vote can actually make a difference.”
Sign up and register in order to attend at Ryde Academy this Saturday,(2nd July) in order to be in with a chance to vote for the 15 projects that they have received applications from.
