So very sad our beautiful Island is coming to this
I wonder if these are Islanders, or more than likely, some rubbish the council have agreed to take for money ?. Just as long as it keeps the council on gold plated, ring fenced salary/pension, they import problem families brighter councils are shifting off there patch.
Just remember when it’s your local councillors section time.!
Islanders
They are islanders…
What a load of old rubbish. How dare you blame it on the people who move here. I have been here a few years now after buying my property , and a full time job. Trouble is being caused by all different people and I seriously take offence of narrow minded people. Ryde is rife with drug addict and alcoholic islanders. Personally I can’t wait to leave. And not be subjected to your inbred island anymore
Lol go back to where you come from then case closed
Ali please go ahead and leave our so called in bred Island. We didn’t invite you here in the first place, and we won’t be sad to see your closed minded bigoted opinionated person leave either.. Off you trot
Your not welcome anyway, we dont f**king want you here the sooner leave the better our island will be
Born and bred on this rock
Too many imports madam.
You appear to be one of them. I moved to this beautiful island in 2003 and would not like to see it change. If you don’t like it then go back to the mainland.
Born here. As was my etc. I can remember when it was ‘Ryde for pride:Newport for hot dinners ‘.
It’s even more sad when people on the island think they are immune to crime.
So very sad our beautiful Island is coming to this
What annoys me is No FIXED ABODE !!!! NO he lived somewhere around us!!!?
Thing is , once they’ve been arrested on a crime such as this , wherever they were staying probably decide “Nah, you’re not staying here anymore” after their residence has been ripped apart through police searching.
Throw the book at them . Carry a knife 5years to life. Use a knife sentence should be times 5
At there age they should be working for money not stealing it. One wonders what sort of upbringing they had or will the excuse be they fell into the wrong crowed. There is no excuse if you carry a knife you must be prepared to do the time. But great job from police in getting these scum of our street hopefully they may learn from this but I don’t think so
Just wait until well over a thousand new homes are built in Ryde. You can be sure it won’t be islanders in very many, but, as correctly pointed out, rubbish that OUR council take in for cash, knowing full well they will never have to mix with the low life that they are more than happy to dump on the rest of us.
They have seen MP’s do it for years with mass, low end immigrants, ruining towns and Cities on the mainland, whilst the MP’s and ilk live in green leafy lanes, never having to work, travel, have their children educated, or treated with the trash they too are happy to inflict on those who vote for them.
More drain on limited resources! Vile creatures!
Its the scum overflow form the big Cities being off loaded here. Don’t be fooled the 10,000 new homes planned for the Island are for the overflow from the mainland that is not wanted by the Cities Councils. There are no jobs here for the estimated 22,000 scum beings who will be housed here. The planned extra schools and doctors included in the planned housing wont be occupied as there is not enough doctors or teachers on the Island and the roads will be jammed packed and dead locked. Most of the new houses HAVE BEEN REJECTED BY Island ratepayers. When the next local election come remember those Councillors who voted for the new houses and those that voted to close Day Centres etc and vote them OUT!!.
Our voting system is corrupt especially the posting votes, it’s not easy to get rid of these undemocratic self serving politicians or councillors..
It’s funny to see people with questionable nostalgia for the Island and a time when it was apparently crime free.
Burnt House Lane is literally named after a crime in the 1700s when a man decapitated and dismembered his grandson and then burnt down his house to hide evidence.
Bet he was a overner!
That’s not a word, stop believing the Red Funnel pamphlets 😉
I see all the bigoted inbred islanders are shaking their 8 fingered fists in the air at this outrage, blaming people that come here and keep the economy stable. I would love to see all the investors from outside of the island withdraw their money and see how all you plebs manage then.. At least you would all have your mothers brothers sisters and fathers to keep you company… lol
Funny how Islanders seem to think that nothing but angels were bred and live on the Island. I am an “overner” and can guarantee with the job I do over here, plenty who were born and bred on this Island are far from angels!
It’s funny how anyone who is born and bred on the Island are nothing but angels. I am an “overner” and I can assure you, with the job I do over here, people born and bred on the Island are far from angels!
Remember the old days when, wherever you lived, if you did anything wrong the local Bobby was always around the corner. They knew all the little buggers (me included) that would be up to no good. How many times do you walk along a road and smell weed and no one cares.
We need more local police on the streets, re-enstate the local police houses and give the police and courts some teeth.
