The Isle of Wight’s Joint Operations Roads Policing Team have seized a vehicle that was being driven on the road by a 16-year-old this evening (Friday).
Officers pulled the silver Suzuki Swift over whilst out on patrol in the Newport area.
A number of checks were carried out on both the vehicle and it’s driver at the roadside, which resulted in the 16-year-old being arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including drug driving, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.
The vehicle has now been seized and the arrested individual taken into custody at Newport Police Station.
