Police made an arrest after a woman in her 50s was found with an injury to her leg at an address in Newport last night (Saturday).
Officers responded to an address on Manor Crescent, Pan Estate at 22:24 following reports of a domestic incident taking place.
It was soon discovered that a woman in her 50s had sustained an injury to her leg.
Paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service were called to the scene and the woman was taken to St Mary’s Hospital for treatment. She has since been discharged.
Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed to Island Echo that a 30-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of wounding without intent.
However, she has since been released from police custody with no further action being taken against her.
Does wounding without intent, mean it was an accident?? Makes no sense to me, you either wound someone or you don’t…..
Blimey news must be thin on the ground and Police must be bored out of their minds. Any other locality would have sorted this in situ and cut out the need to report to police and media. The woman arrested on suspicion has now been labelled for life in her immediate locality. This is so wrong in many ways, what has happend to this planet?
