Emergency services have attended a road traffic collision on Military Road this evening (Tuesday).
A car is reported to have left the carriageway and come to rest in amongst bramble bushes on the stretch of road near Brighstone.
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service mobilised 1 appliance from Newport due to fears of a fuel spill. Although there was no spillage the single crew made the vehicle safe by removing its on board battery.
No one was seriously injured in the smash and 1 female was able to free herself from the wreckage.
It’s thought the alarm was raised at around 17:45, with Police reported to be responding towards Brighstone at this time.
