A woman in her 60s has been arrested and questioned by Police after she allegedly physically assaulted an innocent 3-year-old child whilst at the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary in Sandown earlier this week.
Police are investigating the incident, which is said to have occurred in the restaurant of the tourist attraction on Culver Parade at around 13:35 on Monday.
Hampshire Constabulary say a physical altercation between a woman and a young boy – aged 3 – is alleged to have taken place.
All parties involved are known to one another.
Officers would like to take accounts from people who witnessed this incident.

Remember, nowadays discipline like this frowned upon and a big no no. This is why some kids are ferral, growing up having had no discipline. You don’t knock hell out of young kids but a slap on the bottom never did anyone any harm. Kids need to be taught respect and know right from wrong. Discipline is lacking in today’s society.

If you care to do a quick Google search you will see that smacking a child is NOT illegal in this country. Therefore somebody would not be arrested for smacking or disciplining a child. So therefore this must of been more that a “telling off”

Despite the fact, and it is a fact, that almost all of the most violent criminals were beaten as children these cretins still don’t understand that violence teaches violence.
Also worth noting that the people they most look down on, the uneducated poor, are most likely to use corporal punishment and most likely to have children who become criminals.

Exactly I’m crying with laughter he should boil his head. I was one of 8 children who regularly got a smack on the backside or a clout round the ear and I am neither a criminal nor violent

Yes of course it is Ann. The parenting ways now are basically bloody rubbish. You see so many kids rolling around the floor in Tesco having a screaming fit because they can’t have what they want at that moment and it’s looks so bad. On the other end of the scale you see the lovely well behaved child walking along side Mum/Dad and you just know they have had lots of love and time and being taught right from wrong from that crucial early age. Bad parents just ignore their kids, they walk around with their faces buried into their mobile phones with no interaction with their kids whatsoever, so these kids play up. Not the poor child’s fault, it’s the grown ups who need to attend a parenting course in my opinion!

Let’s get one thing perfectly clear. There is a very big difference between abuse and a snack on the bottom for being naughty.
Even with your views, which you are perfectly entitled to have, you have got to admit, many children are not bought up to respect people, people’s property, to be polite and basically ‘nice’. Way too many kids are just left to their own devices, roaming the streets and parks smashing, setting fire to whatever they choose. This is wrong. These kids are being let down by the people who bought them into this world, their parents.
All children need a good smacking if they are out of control
If a child has been taught right from wrong and had quality time from Mum & Dad given to them from a young age, a child should not really misbehave to the extent it needs a smack. Trouble is, parenting is all different now. Good old fashion manners and respect are basically lacking in society now by many, not all before I start getting berated by good parents.
wishful thinking .. I know people who have loving caring parents and the kids just don’t listen and don’t care. until they get a threatened with a slap….works every time and only about 1 in 20 threats is carried out.
