Wightlink has teamed up with Gunwharf Quays Designer Outlet to offer savings for Isle of Wight residents and highlight the later FastCat sailings between Ryde Pier and Portsmouth Harbour.
These later sailings, starting Monday 27th March 2023, will be 21:20 and 22:45 from Portsmouth and 22:00 and 23:10 from Ryde.
Crossings will also run hourly throughout the day, Monday to Sunday, as part of Wightlink’s summer timetable.

These are the new offers* for Islanders travelling with Wightlink:
- FastCat and ferry customers can enjoy 23 miles of views across the south coast from the Spinnaker Tower’s panoramic viewing platforms, with 30% off their entrance ticket.
Savings are also available on meals at The Alchemist cocktail bar and restaurant in Gunwharf Quays. Wightlink customers can get 20% off their dining bill for tables of up to 6 people. - Islanders can shop ‘til they drop at Gunwharf Quays, then relax while sightseeing or enjoying their meal without having to carry their bags around. The Dropit home delivery service would usually cost £10.50 but is free to Wightlink customers.
- Foot passengers can also take advantage of these offers using Wightlink’s car ferries. The 22:15 and 23:59 crossings from Portsmouth to Fishbourne (returning at 23:00 and 01:00) complement the scheduled FastCats to offer extra sailings to and from the Isle of Wight.

Still a bit tight for islanders wanting to see a show in Portsmouth with resorting to a hotel or a car ferry that dumps you at Fishbourne in the early hours of the morning.
I suppose they did say “later”, not “useful”.
Absolutely no point as this will push more people to park at the end of the pier which, at the moment, parking is non existant
I don’t know. I’m still tempted to go park on Great Preston road myself.
How reliable will this service be I wonder? How long before ‘due to a mechanical issue or staff shortages’ will it be before it all goes t#ts up!
