With some very wet weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow morning, the Warriors management have decided that they must cancel tomorrow’s speedway meeting (27th July) at the Smallbrook Stadium in Ryde.
Co-owner Martin Widman said:
“Sadly we are faced with several forecasts that shows poor conditions which look like they will stop us getting on track and preparing the racing strip properly leading to the decision to cancel the meeting.”
“We haven’t taken this action likely as the first week of the school summer holidays are usually 1 of best attendances of the season, however we don’t want to waste people’s time or money viewing sub-standard action and going away disappointed.”
“We hope the weather gods are kinder next week when the Warriors take on Rye House Rockets in a team challenge”.
It is hoped to release a restaging date for the Nora British Upright Championship Qualifying Round later today.
Ban it, noisy, polluting with fumes, and the huge lights they have, and adding to the NHS burden, also makes dust which those with lung issues can be fatal.
Yet a few fools entertainment is far more important than any of that……isn’t it?
