A special day-long music festival featuring performers aged 6 to 80 will take place in Totland next month, with all proceeds supporting the West Wight Dementia Friendly Choir.
The West Wight Music Festival is set for Saturday 15th November at Christ Church in Totland, running from 10:00 to 18:00 and concluding with a “Big Sing” that brings together all the day’s performers in a mass celebration of music.
Organised by renowned composer Pam Wedgwood, the festival will feature around 30 performers, including solo pianists, instrumentalists, singers, choirs, violin groups and wind ensembles – all coming together to share their love of music with the local community.
Members of the public are welcome to attend as audience members, with donations invited on the door.
All funds raised will go towards supporting the West Wight Dementia Friendly Choir in Freshwater, which is working to help establish similar dementia-friendly choirs across the Isle of Wight.
