Company B UK – the Isle of Wight’s very own close-harmony vocal group – have announced that they are to split after almost 9 years of performing together. A change in circumstances for Harriet Back, Thea Callaghan and Natalie Aghajanian, who are now dotted around the UK, has been cited as the reason for the breakup. Over the past 8-and-a-half years, Company B has performed at no fewer than 7 UK festivals and enjoyed 5 trips abroad, including to Monaco and Florida, as well as releasing 2 CDs. They are well-known for their striking performances, particularly of 1940s swing. It isn’t to be a sudden departure though… it has been confirmed that a farewell event will be held in the near future, details of which will be confirmed soon.
A statement released on social media says:
“This is not a sad goodbye as we are all so proud of each other for our achievements, both as individuals and as a group.
“Thank you for all your support!”
