The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance has rushed to the West Wight this morning (Wednesday) in response to an ongoing medical emergency.
Having left its Henstridge Airfield base at around 09:50, the air ambulance made its way across the Solent before landing on Colwell Common.
On the ground, flying medics met resources from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service on the nearby Fort Warden Road.
It is unclear as to just what has occurred.
UPDATE @ 11:02 – The air ambulance has taken off and conveyed the patient to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth.
