UPDATED: Hovertravel have suspended their cross-Solent service this morning (Saturday) due to the adverse weather conditions.
Strong winds and choppy seas have resulted in both Solent Flyer and Island Flyer stopped from operating on the Ryde to Southsea Route.
The operator says the next update will be at 10:00.
All passengers should divert to Wightlink’s Ryde Pier Head to Portsmouth catamaran service.
UPDATE @ 13:30 – Hovertravel services remain suspended this afternoon.
The next update will be at 14:00.
UPDATE @ 16:00 – The service is due to resume at 16:45 from Ryde and 17:00 from Southsea.
UPDATE @ 17:16 – Despite only just coming back into action, Hovertravel’s Ryde to Southsea service has been suspended once again.
An update is due at 20:00.
