Firefighters from Newport have responded to a washing machine fire at the property in East Cowes this morning (Tuesday).
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called St James Close just before 10:00 following reports of a small appliance fire.
The first crew on scene – Newport’s Wholetime appliance – discovered that the fire had already been extinguished.
Firefighters conducted safety checks and isolated the supply to the machine.
Both appliances have now stood down and returned to station.
