Visit Isle of Wight has launched a new industry-focused website aimed at supporting and connecting businesses across the Isle of Wight’s tourism and hospitality sector.
The new platform, Wight Bid, has been created as a dedicated online hub for businesses involved in the Island’s visitor economy, offering access to support, marketing opportunities, industry updates and resources linked to the Wight BID.
The website features information about the Wight BID and how it is administered by Visit Isle of Wight, alongside a business support hub containing workshops, training opportunities and downloadable materials.
There are also sections dedicated to destination marketing campaigns, media and PR opportunities, industry news and advertising options for businesses looking to raise their profile.
As previously reported by Island Echo, visit Isle of Wight says the launch is part of its ongoing efforts to improve communication and engagement with businesses operating within the sector.
Dominic Wray, CEO of Visit Isle of Wight, has said:
“This website is an important development for the Island’s visitor economy and for the businesses we represent through the Wight BID.
“We wanted to create something practical, useful and easy to access – a place where businesses can clearly see what activity is taking place, find support, discover opportunities and better understand how Visit Isle of Wight is working on behalf of the industry.
“The Isle of Wight has an incredibly strong and diverse visitor economy, and this platform gives us a more modern way to connect with businesses, share information and champion the sector together.
“This is very much a starting point. The website will continue to grow, with more resources, updates and opportunities added over time.”
Visit Isle of Wight says additional content, event details, campaign updates and business opportunities will continue to be added to the website over time.
Businesses are being encouraged to explore the new platform and learn more about the support available through the Wight BID.

How about we just make the island accessible without requiring the remortgaging of multiple houses, and also make it less shit to spend time on?
So true.
