Residents at Vecta House Care Home enjoyed a day of discovery and nature this week as they swapped their lounge for the rainforest during a special excursion to Amazon World Zoo Park.
The trip, which is part of the home’s dedicated enrichment program, saw residents travel by minibus to the popular local attraction. The group spent the afternoon exploring the park’s diverse habitats, getting up close with exotic birds, curious reptiles, and the zoo’s star attractions – the red pandas.
For many residents, the visit was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with nature and share stories of past travels. The sight of the vibrant tropical birds and the playful antics of the red pandas sparked plenty of laughter and conversation among the group.
