A man was rushed ashore after being taken unwell on a fishing boat off the coast of the Isle of Wight this morning (Monday).
Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team was mobilised to the Esplanade in Ventnor shortly before 10:20 to meet an inbound fishing vessel that had reported a casualty on board.
Coastguard Rescue Officers assisted the casualty off of the local vessel and administered first aid.
A local co-responder was sent to assist the Coastguard whilst awaiting the arrival of an ambulance.
The man was passed into the care of the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
