Island Roads have confirmed that Pyle Street, Newport will be closed from St Thomas Square to Town Lane from today (Thursday) for approximately 2 weeks for emergency sewer repair works.
Vehicular access to the Multi Storey Car Park and to business and premises will be maintained as far as possible.
The work is being undertaken by DynoRod (P Fitzsimmonds) for Southern Water.
Motorists are being diverted via Pyle Street, St James Street, High Street, Coppins Bridge Roundabout and Pyle Street (lower section).
