Red Funnel has had to cancel 3 vehicle ferry sailings on its East Cowes-Southampton route this morning (Tuesday) due to a mechanical breakdown.
It’s said that an issue with the forward voith propulsion and steering unit on Red Osprey had led to the cancellations.
The 08:30 from East Cowes has been pulled alongside the 10:00 from Southampton and the 11:30 from East Cowes.
It’s unclear at this stage if there will be any further disruption to the published timetable later in the day.
Red Funnel apologises for any disruption to your journey.
UPDATE @ 09:13 – The issue has now been resolved and therefore the 10:00 from Southampton and the 11:30 from East Cowes will run as scheduled.
More “breakdowns”. Really? About time they got some new ferries. The ones they have are useless.
I think it is terrible.
Someone hid the steering wheel, but now they have found it again.
