Motorists are facing delays of around 20 minutes this morning (Monday) due to the erection of temporary traffic lights on the main Newport to Cowes road.
Southern Water are working to repair a burst water main close to St Mary’s Hospital and HMP Isle of Wight. The pipe failed sometime on Saturday.
Southern Vectis say their Route 1 service is delayed as a result of the congestion.
You ain’t seen nuthin yet
Dug up and repaired Saturday so why couldn’t the job be completed on Sunday to avoid the delays on an important route. Passed it yesterday and even on Sunday there were delays.
And when the latest money wasting scheme begins, there will be absolute and total chaos! A visit to st Marys will involve an extra 30 minutes journey time and god knows what they will dig up whilst trying to completely screw up the road system into Newport/Cowes? If the usual amount of oversight has gone into these ridiculous plans, we will be stranded until 2021!
You know what just up from there there had been a water leak for nearly 2 years now bet they don’t fix that …
Just to add what’s been said we ain’t seen nothing yet wait till the 18 month fxxck up starts for new improve road network …
