A Southern Vectis bus has mounted a grass bank in Shanklin this afternoon (Friday) which is causing significant delays for those travelling through the town.
The incident which occurred at around 14:00 on the junction of Windsor Drive, coming off of Victoria Avenue where a bus servicing route 3 has mounted the kerb and got itself stuck on the grass bank.
Island Echo understands that traffic queues are building along the busy main road, with the bus said to be blocking the route into Shanklin.
Motorists are being warned to expect delays in the area whilst recovery of the bus takes place.


























































































Yet another Southern Vectis ‘Incident’? Maybe they should start drug testing their drivers, I’m sure it’s not just taxi drivers!
Have to love the irony of the huge poster on the side of the bus about travelling “smarter” 🙂

Dangerous driving is all I can say, too think they let such
persons transport passengers around.
