Police and Crime Commissioner Donna Jones has announced details of her annual awards ceremony which recognises and honours the invaluable contributions made by volunteers and partners to sustaining safer communities.
The 2025 PCC Awards in March will shine a light on all volunteers and staff from across the public, private and voluntary sectors who make a huge difference supporting policing.
Members of the public are now being encouraged to nominate their local hero for the Community Volunteer of the Year Award.
The accolade recognises someone who works tirelessly to make their community safer, either in a formal volunteer role within an organisation or someone who volunteers on their own to help others. Nominations for this Award can be made via the online form here.
The other Awards at the event pay tribute to the volunteers, organisations, officers, and staff who directly support Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary as well as the Police and Crime Commissioner’s Office. These are nominated from within policing, commissioned services, and partner organisations.
These Awards include the Local Bobby of the Year Award, the Business Crime Prevention Award, the Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour Award, the Special Constable of the Year Award, the Business Crime Prevention Award, and the Police Animal of the Year Award.

The deadline for members of the public to nominate their Community Volunteer of the Year is 20th December 2024.
