Sam Farao didn’t grow up under the best circumstances, but he’s rising above the challenges that life is constantly throwing at him and thriving regardless.
There is no clear cut path to the top as an entrepreneur, and Sam Farao is the perfect example of that. While most traditional careers will have an obvious path you should take, others are going to be less “linear”. Often people will find themselves going through the regular cycle of college, majoring in something, and then getting a job in that specified area.
It seems so easy to achieve, and yet there are still millions of students obtaining useless degrees annually! Sam Farao understands that school can’t teach you the ways of a successful entrepreneur, that’s something that you’ll need to develop for yourself. Failure is something you learn to live with as a successful entrepreneur because learning from your mistakes is the only way to approach things.
Tough times aren’t going to crack this entrepreneur
Sam Farao isn’t your average entrepreneur, he didn’t grow up with a silver spoon in his mouth (as a matter of fact, it was far from it). Sam was born in Voss, Norway in 1988. He was actually the first Iranian born in Voss. Sam and his family moved to Oslo when he was around 2-years old and they didn’t have much, as they were an immigrant family that fled Iran during the Iranian revolution. His childhood wasn’t exactly traumatic, but it certainly wasn’t easy. His father began to drink and his parents got divorced when he was 8-years old, which is something that he feels should have happened sooner.
“We didn’t have a lot and I remember asking my mom several times if we were poor,” said Sam, “I understood clearly that we didn’t have the same lifestyle as others in my age group and within the community”.
Sam also had plenty of experience with trials and tribulations during his youth, which lead to him being institutionalized frequently. He used this opportunity to think about what he wants in life, and the 3-week military course he was forced to take is the first major stepping stone towards his journey of entrepreneurship.
Early beginnings to an entrepreneurs journey
Like most of us, Sam Farao is somebody who loves making an impact financially. He had his goals set high even during those younger years, and that’s something that I can respect him for almost immediately. I was too busy eating pizza and playing video games in high school to worry about my finances! Sam knew what he wanted from a young age, as he began an online Drop Shipping career in high school and quickly scaled it into a full-time business. After realizing he couldn’t balance both school and a business, he decided to drop out and pursue his entrepreneurial dreams.
After learning more about affiliate marketing and SEO, Sam realized how much money there was to be made in that industry. He turned to developing payday loan websites and selling them off, allowing him to make even more money to fund the many other projects he had in mind at the time!
Oslo Hair was founded in 2011 by Sam, and he did all of the marketing and administrative work himself. He sold off his company shares when he completed the marketing campaign, and now it’s known as the top-rated hair salon in all of Norway (so he must have done something right!).
Netpixel Media was founded by Sam in 2015, and he also went into partnership with one of the most popular newspaper providers in Norway (Nettavisen). With Netpixel Media and Captana (also founded by Sam in 2017), he has generated well over 3 million dollars in revenue using only affiliate marketing(without the assets sale)! This helped Sam understand the intricate details associated with affiliate marketing, which he would use frequently in the future.
Transitioning from the media space, Sam took on the task of ranking an abundance of payday loan websites. He mastered the art of SEO and was able to develop several affiliate payday loan websites, and then sell them off for a massive profit margin. He also operated the top-rated loan comparison website in Norway which is “loans.no”, and he even recently co-founded Loanstar.com (another loan comparison website).
Casinor.com is a casino information website based in Norway that Sam Farao headed, and it was recently sold for a 7-figure sum. Sam Farao obviously knows how to build both a successful brand and website, which has helped him flourish in the entrepreneurial landscape.
The future for Norwegian entrepreneur Sam Farao
Sam Farao isn’t going to stay in one spot for long, as he is always thinking about the next potential project. CBD oil has been increasing in popularity as of recent, especially since there are plenty of places where the stigma associated with CBD products is diminishing. Sam has founded a CBD oil brand called Nutra CBD (based in the Netherlands) that provides lab-grade CBD oil-based products for both the average person and professional athlete.
Sam is also a massive fan of giving back to the community and helping out with causes he holds close to his heart, which is why he’s currently developing a non-profit/charity organization of his own. While most entrepreneurs are only going to focus on making as much money as they can, Sam is still able to hold a stellar level of humbleness (and a will to help out others!).
