Police responded to reports of a male brandishing a knife in public in Ryde late last night (Sunday).
Hampshire Constabulary say they received a report at 23:39 of a disturbance along Ryde Esplanade involving a group of people – including an individual thought to be in possession of a knife.
The situation began near to Quay Road before progressing through the bus station to Western Gardens.
Officers stopped and searched the group, consisting of 4 teenagers aged between 16 and 18, in nearby Union Street.
No weapons were located and the group were let on their way.
