Ongoing technical issues with Red Funnel’s Red Jets are causing yet more disruption this morning (Thursday), with a number of important commuter sailings cancelled.
The cross-Solent operator has confirmed that the 06:40, 07:50 and 09:00 crossings from West Cowes have been pulled, alongside the 07:15 and 08:25 sailings from Southampton.
It’s said that a main engine fault onboard Red Jet 6 is to blame for this disruption.
This is the latest incident in recent weeks and months to effect the hi-speed service, with other technical issues also being felt on the vehicle ferry service to and from East Cowes.
Red Funnel apologises for any inconvenience to your journey.

With the amount of money both Red Funnel and Wighlink make from overcharging customers you’d think they would get these issues sorted.
But that costs money.
About time they replaced the car ferries?
