Children at St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Primary School in Carisbrooke brought the house down with their end-of-year production of The Amazing Adventures of SuperStan.
The Year 5 and 6 pupils treated audiences to a spectacular performance packed with laughs, drama and plenty of superhero action.
Set in the city of Megaville, the story follows clumsy Stanley Marvel who – with the help of his Gran and her crumbly chums – discovers he is a real-life superhero. Armed with a secret formula and a pair of fantastic elastic anti-gravity pants, Stanley transforms into SuperStan to save the city from the evil Candy Queen.
Head of School, Mrs Mauri, said:
“What a great way to end the school year at St Thomas!
“The Year 6 children were thrilled to have the opportunity to put on a production to end their time at St Thomas before leaving for their secondary schools. I have been lucky enough to watch the production from the start and the children have gained in confidence with every practice.
“Well done to all the staff and the children involved.”
