A kitchen fire at a detached property in Nettlestone has been successfully contained and extinguished this evening (Sunday).
2 appliances from Ryde were mobilised to an address on Solent View Road at around 18:30.
2 breathing apparatus wearers have entered the property and have used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, which has been confirmed as starting in the oven.
Positive pressure ventilation is now being used to rid smoke from the building.
The occupants of the property – 2 adults, a child and a dog – have escaped without injury.
