UPDATED: Wightlink have cancelled 2 sailings on their Yarmouth to Lymington car ferry service this morning (Wednesday) due to strong winds.
The 06:40 from Lymington and the 07:50 from Yarmouth sailings have both been pulled.
New self-imposed restrictions on the West Wight route mean that ferries will not operate if the wind gusts at more than 25knts. It follows a number of engine fires over the last 2 years.
Customers are being urged to continue to check in on time for your booked sailing.
UPDATE @ 08:38 – Wightlink have confirmed that the 08:45 from Lymington and the 10:05 have also been cancelled this morning.

UPDATE @ 11:04 – Further cancellations have been made this morning due to the continued strong winds.
Wightlink have confirmed that the 11:00 from Lymington and the 12:05 from Yarmouth have been cancelled.
UPDATE @ 15:17 – The 15:00 from Lymington and the 16:05 from Yarmouth have also been cancelled.
