Southern Vectis is once again marking Father’s Day by offering the Island’s youngsters the chance to take their dads on the bus for free. The local bus operator will provide complimentary travel for fathers tomorrow (Sunday 16th June) – as long as they are accompanied by a child buying a 24-hour Rover ticket. Nikki Honer, Southern Vectis head of communications, has said:
“Choosing a gift for Father’s Day can prove to be a bit of a challenge for many – so we thought we’d step in with a suggestion,” “We’re sure fathers across the Isle of Wight would like nothing better than to spend their special day with their off-spring – so what better way to do that than to take a day trip on us? “There are plenty of great places to visit here – and this is an excellent opportunity to leave the car at home, relax and take an adventure together. A chance for kids to return the favour and take on the role of ‘dad’s taxi’ – even if it’s just for one day.”
Every child buying a 24 hour Rover ticket for a Southern Vectis journey during Father’s Day will be able to take dad for free. For more information about the Father’s Day offer, visit www.islandbuses.info
