UPDATED: Fire crews from Newport and Ryde are responding to reports of the smell of burning at St Mary’s Hospital in Newport.
3 pumping appliances – 2 from Ryde and 1 from Newport – and an aerial ladder platform from Newport are en-route to the scene at Parkhurst Road.
The alarm was raised shortly after 10:00.
UPDATE @ 10:31 – Resources have now been stood down as it has been quickly established that the smell of burning is emitting from a nearby bonfire.
