Firefighters were mobilised to a property in Newport following reports of a small fire in the kitchen earlier this afternoon (Saturday).
Appliances were sent to a maisonette on Linden Road at around 14:10.
The first crew on scene discovered that the fire, understood to be confined to the grill, had already been extinguished.
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service swiftly stood down from the incident after opening all of the windows in the first floor property.
