Shanklin man Jonathan Troy, who has admitted making more than 100 child sex abuse images, will be sentenced in the Summer.
The 58-year-old, of Victoria Road, admitted 3 charges of making indecent images of a child when he appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court earlier this week (Tuesday).
The court heard how on the 25th February 2024, the defendant was found in possession of 9x category A images, 13x category B images and 121x category C images.
Category A images depict illicit material of the most serious nature. All of the 143 images discovered were still images, the court heard.
The case was adjourned to allow a pre-sentence report to be compiled.
Troy, who was made subject of the notification requirements of the Sex Offender’s Register following his conviction, will next appear before Magistrates on 14th July.
He was granted unconditional bail until that hearing.
