Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team and Ryde Inshore Rescue have been involved in the search for 2 missing children at Appley Beach in Ryde this afternoon (Tuesday).
At around 14:15 the alarm was raised that 2 youngsters had gone missing whilst enjoying half-term on the beach.
Volunteers from Ryde Rescue were asked to conduct a local area search, backed up by Coastguard Officers from Bembridge and Ventnor.
Thankfully, both children were found safe and well by HM Coastguard at just before 15:00.
All search teams have since been stood down.
