Isle of Wight Scouts are on the hunt for a new County Commissioner to lead more than 1,200 youngsters from across the Island over the next 5 years or so.
Current Commissioner Paul Savil is standing down from his role in the coming weeks.
Applications are now being sought from volunteers with management experience who want to make a positive impact in their community. The successful candidate will have attributes that include good interpersonal, leadership and line management skills, the ability to motivate, inspire others and build teams and provide strategic direction.
Prior experience of Scouting is not required – fully training will be given and the Commissioner will be supported to make the most of this exciting role.
The County Commissioner is responsible for taking Isle of Wight Scouts forward as a growing organisation relevant to young people and adults alike. The current youth membership on the Isle of Wight is around 1,200 young people, supported by 500 adults.
Interested parties don’t have long to apply… all applications must be received by noon on Saturday 27th April.
