UPDATED: Police and paramedics are attending an incident on Newport’s Medina Avenue this afternoon (Thursday).
Island Echo readers are reporting that a person is laid in the road.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service has paramedics on scene. The service were called to the scene, close to the junction with St George’s Approach, at 15:15.
Police have closed the road whilst the incident is ongoing.
UPDATE @ 16:33 – Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed that a Mitsubishi and a motorcycle have been involved in a collision on Medina Avenue.
UPDATE @ 16:41 – The male motorcyclist has been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital for treatment.
