The dire standard of driving and a lack of sympathy towards anyone on two wheels is making the Islands roads death traps sadly.

Agreed, and do hope this person make a fast and full recovery. One piece of advice to todays cyclists, meant in a helpful way. Please wear something bright, todays fashion seems to be wearing black or dark cycling gear. With bright sun and trees, plus hedges causing shadows, you can be completely hidden from view Please be seen. From an ex cyclist and motor bike rider.
