The Isle of Wight’s Red Squirrel Property Shop is celebrating after being listed in the top 20% of all letting agents in the UK. The Newport-based team attended the Best Estate Agent Guide Awards in Battersea, London last Tuesday (7th November). The event is the UK’s biggest estate agency leadership conference and awards ceremony, recognising top talent in the sector. It was at the awards that it was confirmed that Red Squirrel Property Shop is ranked as ‘excellent’ in the lettings market. The Best Estate Agent Guide compares agents based on their performance on the things that matter most. It provides an independent and trustworthy source of information to help sellers and landlords find the best agents in their area. Over 1.5 million different data points designed to measure property marketing, customer service and results have been identified and form the basis of a whole market assessment. Every agent in the country is included in the assessment. The performance of millions of property transactions is analysed over 6 months, with every agent’s individual performance measured against criteria with scores weighted based on what matters most to consumers. Results are measured in 5 key areas including market share, sales and lets, timescale, price and reviews. Charlie Panayi, CEO of Red Squirrel, says:
“We are super proud to be listed in the top 20% of letting agents. We started Red Squirrel all those years ago because of our own personal experiences with agents, wanting to create an agency we would use ourselves, purely founded on honesty, trust and compassion. “Receiving awards like this demonstrates that we do what we say we will and it also showcases the fantastic growth as a company. I’m so proud of our team and looking forward to what more we can achieve for our customers, family and friends.”

I would never use this agent, all have attitude that they are always right and never to blame. Had several dealings, never again.
That is the IW mentality, never their thought!
So this the score for measuring this is based more on what they give to landlords (market share etc), less what they provide to tenants? Seems about right then!!
And ‘compassion’???? Ha ha!
