Another thrilling day of closed-road motorsport will return to the Isle of Wight in just a matter of months, with the Weaver Brothers Island Stages Rally officially confirmed for Sunday 15th February 2026.
Following the resounding success of the 2024 event, which marked the Isle of Wight’s first-ever closed-road rally and drew thousands of spectators to Havenstreet, organisers have announced that the much-anticipated rally will return in just under 3 months’ time.
The event, run by the Isle of Wight Car Club, was originally set to return in November 2025. However, as previously reported by Island Echo, it was postponed for logistical reasons and has now found a new home in the sporting calendar during the quieter winter period.
Supplementary regulations have now been issued for competitors, with entries to officially open at 20:00 on Monday (1st December).

Up to 60 crews are expected to take part including a number of local competitors such as Will Nicholls/Nick Broom, John Peck/Jon Barrett, Dean Long/James Moles, Wayne Hole/Chris Wilson, Simon Verstraeten/Pauling Whittington, Ian Thomas/Gerald Wilby, Andy Williams/Harry Samuel, Heidi Peck/Andy Tomlinson and Kevin Richardson/Katrin Herold.
The rally will once again centre around Newport, with the service area based at Newport Quay. Spectators will be able to check out the cars as crews carry out repairs and adjustments throughout the day. The spectator zone at Havenstreet – and through Firestone Copse – will once again be the best place to catch the action on the special stages.
The 2026 edition will follow the same format as 2024, featuring 8 special stages totalling approximately 30 competitive miles.
The route will run in one direction for the morning, then be reversed for the afternoon. The stage layout remains identical to the inaugural event, using closed public roads such as Rowlands Lane, Main Road in Havenstreet and Firestone Copse.

Weaver Brothers will continue as the headline sponsor alongside Red Funnel. The rally will be a round of both the ACSMC and ASWMC Stage Rally Championships.
