Police on the Isle of Wight are appealing for the public’s help in locating missing 58-year-old Julie Vowles from Newport.
Julie was last seen at around 20:00 yesterday evening (Saturday 1st May) in the grounds of St Mary’s Hospital.
Officers have conducted a number of enquiries and are now turning to the public for help in locating Julie.
She is described as white with a pale complexion, around 5ft tall and of a large build with white hair. Julie was last seen wearing black leggings with a yellow t-shirt.
WightSAR have been deployed to assist Hampshire Constabulary in the ongoing search, which is focusing on the immediate area around St Mary’s.

UPDATE @ 17:25 – The search for missing Julie Vowles continues – more than 21 hours after she was last seen.
Police have deployed a dog unit to the Parkhurst Forest area, whilst WightSAR volunteers search the Albany estate.
UPDATE @ 20:50 – Police have confirmed that Julie has been found safe and well, as of 20:25.
The search has now been stood down.
