The Cowes Floating Bridge has been pulled from service this morning (Saturday) due to a fault with a prow cable.
Engineers are said to be on site to repair the issue, with hopes of resuming a normal timetabled service later on this morning.
A launch service for foot passengers is now in operation.
The Isle of Wight Council apologises for any inconvenience caused.
UPDATE @ 10:30 – The floating bridge is now back in service.

Would it not be easier to tell us when it actually is running….This is I think a bigger fiasco than Brexit…
I thought Floaty was supposed to be out of service all week due to replacing the chains, or did someone in the Council forget to order them .
Anything Council…….
