On a beautiful, balmy evening, Year 6 pupils arrived in their finery to mark the end of one chapter, as members of Priory Junior School, and the beginning of a new one in the Senior School.
They gathered under a balloon arch, clutching glasses of ‘champagne’ (Shloer!), to pose for photographs with their friends and teachers. We were fortunate to have Mrs Bottriell, parent of a pupil in Year 6 and talented photographer, capture these special moments with her usual talent and flair. Staff and pupils then tucked into a delicious, alfresco meal of fish and chips, before heading into the Hall for the energetic bit of the evening.
The Priory School Parents Association had decorated the hall beautifully and pupils enjoyed the fruit and chocolate fondue on offer. Mr Craddock was resident superstar DJ for the night, and much dancing and fun was had by all.
The evening ended with a presentation from Year 6 parents and pupils to Mr Robinson, our much-loved Year 6 tutor, who is retiring from teaching and will be much missed.
A spokesperson from Priory School has said:
“We wish all the pupils a super summer break and look forward to welcoming them back to Priory in September when their class will be joined by a large intake of new pupils for senior school.”
