Poundland will open the doors to its new, much larger Ryde store this coming Saturday (16th September) that will now boast a clothing range and a new frozen food section.
It was in June 2015 that Poundland expanded its Island offering to Ryde having converted the former Gladrags and Sinclair Youngs stores into 1 big unit.
However, 8 years down the line, the discount retailer is on the move further up the High Street to the former Woolworths premises, most recently occupied by M&Co.
The new store, which opens its doors on Saturday 16th September, will have a wider range of products available including Pep clothing and frozen food, much like its sister store in Newport.
6 new jobs have been created by the move up the road, with an additional 5 part-time and 1 full-time colleagues taken on, boosting the team to a total of 20.

The current Poundland store closes at the end of the day on Friday (15h September). It remains unclear what will become of the large retail unit.
