Lime and Chilli in Seaview has shut its doors for good, with a shock announcement on social media confirming the news. The alcohol-free Indian restaurant and takeaway opened its doors in August 2021, receiving a 2-star food hygiene rating in December of that year. Now, just over 2 years later, the business has shut up shop – much to the surprise of customers. The last day of trading was yesterday (Monday). Taking to social media, a spokesperson for Lime and Chilli has said:
“Dear customer’s we are shouting [sic] down restaurant and takeaway permanently from 20th November, sorry for any inconvenience thank you for your support”.
The business’ Google listing now states it is permanently closed. The closure has been met with upset, with many customers stating that the takeaway was ‘literally the best on the Island’. The reason for the sudden closure is unknown.

People of that area are not keen on working class eating establishments.
Hence Mc Donald’s , or KFC never will be seen littering their streets.
Likely the only time most encountered such people cooking for them was when Great, Great Aunt Maud’s Husband was in the British Raja

Never again. Eat once from that place. Worst food I ever tasted from an Indian restaurant. Folks from Seaview have been saved. The reviews must have been all made up.

The Thai restaurant that previously occupied the premises
suffered a similar problem. Great shame.
Our Siamese tends to disagree. She seems to be far more relaxed now.

Seaview is a Ghost Town, so it is not surprising it closed down.
