Police have conducted a raid on the empty Ryde Theatre this afternoon (Wednesday) as part of a drugs supply investigation.
Officers are currently conducting a search of the vast historic property on Lind Street, which has remained empty since closing in 2010.
Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed that the visit is part of an ongoing investigation into the supply of Class A drugs on the Isle of Wight.
Earlier today Island Echo reported that another drugs raid was carried out at a property in Chale. However, there is no indication that the 2 incidents are linked.
Investigations continue.
This filthy drug issue seems to be getting worse. Something must be done to stop it coming across the solent.
It has already crossed the Solent!

I am fairly sure the Island is a route into the UK for foreign sourced drugs. It’s been a smugglers route for 100 of years I doubt its out of use as one now.

The Peelers ought do do a sweep of County Hall. If the inmates who’ve taken over that particular asylum think even half of we locals are going to to turn out to vote for ’em tomorrow, then they must be on the hardest sh*t known to man!
