Police on the Isle of Wight are investigating a burglary at Harbour House restaurant in Ryde during the early hours of this morning (Saturday).
The front door of the establishment was smashed in sometime between 04:00 and 05:00.
It is thought 2 males are being sought in connection with the incident.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary has told Island Echo:
“We are investigating a burglary at Harbour House on the Esplanade in Ryde after the front door of the café was smashed.
“The incident happened between 4am and 5am this morning (Saturday 24 August).
“At this time, it is believed several bottles of alcohol were stolen from the bar”.
The business is understood to be open as normal for the Bank Holiday weekend.

Did CCTV catch them on camera ? Oh I forgot they don’t work anymore..Hopefully the restaurant had some.
The cctv still works it is just not monitored all the time the police can request footage between those times if there is cctv there.
Awesome restaurant with a customer service, such a shame some people have done this. I hope the culprits can be identified from cctv footage. Good on Karl and his team to keep HH ” business as usual” over this long weekend.
