A power cut is affecting homes and businesses in the Lake and Shanklin area this afternoon (Thursday).
Some 71 postcodes have been hit by the outage, the cause of which is unknown at this time.
Electricity supply was lost at 16:23 and is not expected to be back on until 19:30 – possibly later.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks is aware of the fault and is sending engineers to investigate further.

Should be less power cuts now as SSEN will lose lots more money now that the cost of energy is exorbitant
