Firefighters from East Cowes and Newport worked to free a person stuck in a lift and suffering from chest pains yesterday evening (Thursday).
2 appliances were mobilised to a property in East Cowes at 19:30.
It was reported that the individual was complaining of chest pains and breathing difficulties.
It didn’t take long for fire crews to free the resident and immediate emergency care was given.
Paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service weee requested at the scene and took over the care of the casualty.
