A team of 7 Ryde Harriers travelled to Alresford, the home of the Watercress line, to take part in the penultimate event in the Hampshire Road Race league. Setting out on yet another 06:00 ferry, the weather had at least calmed from the high winds the previous day, with near-perfect conditions for racing. The course headed down the old high street then looped around the back of the town and into the countryside, with an out-and-back section over rolling hills, and returning to the town via a long avenue of trees. The whole team ran well, and those that have so far competed in all of the races in the league are looking forward to receiving the highlight sought after competitive T-shirt once they complete the 12th and final race Lordshill 10km in a couple of weeks.
